it's a lil difficult to imagine this with straight lines, parabolas work better in terms of imagining the transformation

but i would just look on the left what i changed

and if the value was either greater than 1 or between 0 and 1

but looking at the red line in comparison to the black we basically stretched it horizontally or along the x-axis
