  1. 30 to 36, so find what 6 is as a percentage
    30 is 100%
    3 is 10% (divide 100% by 10)
    so 6 is 20% (multiply 10% by 2)
    so its increased by 20%

  2. 15% increase from what was originally 700
    100% is the original, so 115% is the new salary, so find 15% then add it to 100%
    700 is 100%
    70 is 10% (divide 100% by 10)
    35 is 5% (divide 10% by 2)
    105 is 15% (add 10% and 5%)
    then add 15% to 100%: 700 + 105 = 805
