this is a question for l'hopital practice for calc BC.
i determined this had an indeterminate form of 0/0 and began finding the derivatives of the numerator and denom (ending up with really gnarly derivs) but my friend solved it simply in the work below. her work makes sense up until the red.

the answer to this question is 0, but how did the lim of the red portion = infinity? shouldn't it = 0 because lim of sin(1/x) as x -> infty = 0?

do i need to use l'hoptial's after all?

The easier thing to do is to change the variable. Let t = 1/x.
