assuming that i lim as x goes to pi/4 - and set that equal to pi/4 plus, and just equate it? but its 2 variables, and i need another equation

Hey! You're back!

fresh condor
#

yeah

#

didnt have much luck doing the thing yous aid

#

only one equation

#

have to find 2 variable

stiff shore
#

No.

#

The Question is asking: "Find all constants." So you don't have to find them seperately but rather in a term that unions them

fresh condor
#

like an equation that connects a and b?

stiff shore
#

Yes, I think so. Could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it makes sense

fresh condor
#

well i got a - b = pi(8 - sqrt(8))

#

ddi that by plugging in pi/4 on each side and setting them equal to each other

stiff shore
#

yes, i had something very similar. So now you can state, that every constant for which this equality holds, the function will be continous.

#

Otherwise I wouldn't know where to get a second equation from either^^

fresh condor
#

yeah exactly

#

thats what i thougt

#

since there's no real y value thats given for any other x value

#

cant really get another equation

#

also my hw has dirichlet function 😭

stiff shore
#

You can do it! And I am going to bed I think. (Timezone Germany)
