Let $x_1,x_2$ denote the roots of your Trinomial $T(x)$ with leading coefficient 1. Then
$$T(x)=(x-x_1)(x-x_2)$$

So in this case the roots are 1 and 9 and so
$$x^2-10x+9=(x-1)(x-9)$$

so the form is ax^2 + bx + c right (in ur case, a = 1, b = -10, c = 9)
you have to find two numbers such that
- they multiply to give 9
- add to give -10
