I think you should expand and then use the limit definition of the derivative (first principles)
no, but it doesn't use first principles (which is what the question is asking for, if I'm not mistaken)
If you want a reference on how to differentiate a function using first principles, I've found a online image showing the process for the function x^2
you can simply replace x^2 with your 18t - 9t^2
just remember to replace ALL t's with (t+h) when doing the substution
