(First question) why do your vectors have 5 components at some point ? We're working in R^4
Also you can't fix x1 = 1, you've shown that it has to be 0

3a) for W2, your basis should have 3 vectors not 2

Also for W1 + W2, do you reasonably think the basis of a subspace of R^4 can have 5 vectors ?
