For the triangle, if we assume they are "regular polygons" then each angle is 60°

Because sum of angles inside a triangle = 180°

You're also on the way for the hexagon, you can think of it as 6 equilateral triangles, so this time you have the h instead of the hypothenuse so
sin(60)=opposite/hypothenuse

(8√3)/sin(60) = hypothenuse
and again, because its 6 equilateral triangles in a regular hexagon, the hypothenuse will be equal to the base so you can use the formula for the triangle then multiply by 6
