Okay, so you have a triangle with corner B being 90⁰ and the TAN of corner A being 1÷3×√3. Side AC is a few times larger the side BC, how many times is AC longer than BC? This was a question on our math test today and literally noone got it. Hope someone here can explain this and give the answer
Because you're just dealing with ratios of sides, you can assume that one of the side lengths is 1. Then you can use the value of tan A to find a second side length, and the Pythagorean theorem finds you the last side length.
