The theorem for it states that area = 1/2 of perimeter•apothem, but what is the formula to find the perimeter?

Perimeter means that you just add up all of the sides.

So since the polygon is regular, it means that all of its sides are congruent (the same)

Therefore, if you want to find the perimeter of a regular polygon, you just do: (side length)(number of sides)

EX:

You have an equilateral triangle with a side length of 3 cm

#

So to find the perimeter of it

#

You'd do 3(3) = 9 or 3 + 3 + 3, since there are 3 congruent sides
