I factored out pie.h to give v / p.h = R^2 - r^2, thickness is R-r? But I’m not sure where to factor from here.

You shouldn't move anything to the left side. V should stand on its own.

After common factoring, notice that you have a difference of two things that are both squares.

I've factored it down to V = (R+r)(R-r)(pi h)

I also can't see how thickness should be in the final equation, and only used to find the inner radius R-r
