I only need help with number 2 just for examples I'll answer the rest I just need an idea on how to do this.

@proper lodge use the second equation of the system (the linear one) to express x in terms of y (or vice versa if you wish) and then substitute that into the other equation

that way you will get a quadratic equation in 1 variable
