This is my solution
so you took the area of a semicircle. Then you got the hours it leaked from that? lost me there
So basically I took the area of the semicircle, and the hours leaked
and I found out the amount the radius expanded in the hours leaked
how did you find the hours leaked?
I got the area of a semicircle and the speed which is leaks
so the area of the semicircle is
Then i divided it by the rate which is leaks
well it came up wrong on my homework, I'm suppose to use implicit differentiation somewhere, but I need the right formulas. Area of a circle, volume of a cylinder, and now area of a semicircle.
I think its volume of a cylinder because its a disk
Maybe someone with more experience can try, I just saw the question and thought I could answer it, I'd be interested to know why my solution didn't work
It has something to do with derivatives
