I can't remember whether or not I can just half the diameter and that is the radius or if I have to times it by pie first, can someone please clarify?

Why do you want the radius

humble grove
#

because I prefer it for making equations

#

and I want to know the basis, I forgot

fossil lynx
#

do you know what diameter means

humble grove
#

yes, and im trying to find the radius

fossil lynx
#

so what does it mean

humble grove
#

dude, I'm just trying to find the radius of this cone. Im not trying to be grilled on a math problem

#

is the width of the thing

fossil lynx
#

cool so what does radius mean

humble grove
#

idk

fossil lynx
#

issa line drawn from the center to the edge of the circle

humble grove
#

ya

fossil lynx
#

so d=2r

humble grove
#

so the radius is 2 as well?

fossil lynx
#

no

humble grove
#

4?

fossil lynx
#

quit guessing

#

diameter=2 times the radius

Im just playing dumb man I know its 1

Well, for some reason I had it ingraded in my head that if you wanted to find the radius of a diamter, you have to times it by pie first before halfing it

#

I don't know why but I just thought that for some reaso, must have been the way I read something

well $c=2\pi r$
