special math
never seen someone do it that way
man took reciprocal on both sides
but had to write 1/1/16
instead of 16
yea i can’t relate
i mean yea this is simple
so the process is
take the derivative
robin finally made a channel good for him
moving up in the world
setting the derivative to the slope ok
makes sense
and to find the point
just isolate x
and then
we plug -1 into the original equation
just plug in x into the function
I need help I think 1+1=11
ur hilarious
Sounds like me
🤣😃😃😃
i envy u man
22×22=22
OLL
I think 1+1 =11
u thought right
bro is 50 fighting tax evasion
WHAT IS THE ANSWER
fortnite
LOL
Someone said it's 3
is it always + or -
true
yes
bruh
if it’s an equation
2!
two possible coordinates
OHHH HES DEF GONNA GIVE THAT ON THE TEST
NOW 2+2
Ur so right
I ThINk 22

bro
i’m concerned
I fucking didi t wrong
💀
Kittlerey
yes u can
Latterly
u did it right
I didnt
I think 23×23=23
the function is x^3+2
I plotted 2,-6
it’s not a parabola
in stead of -2 -6
oh
OH UR RIGHT
ITS A CUBIC FUNCTION
MG
MAKES SO MUCH SENSE
the slope is a parabola
dead
😸
time for bed drew
2+2 does =22
how does it feel dealing with grade 5s
how the fuck do i graph a parabola if its in standard form
do I convert it to vertex form
bro what
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!
2x^2 - 5x + 3
Dimple
roots
Yess and u turn it into vertex form
Fuck i need to know the derivatove for
differentiate this
2ax + b
2ax + b = 0
mhm
You just made me
cool right
x coordinate of vertex for parabola
because at the vertex of the parabola the slope is zero
so we set the slope of any parabola equal to zero
and solved for the x coordinate
and from algebra u should know
I GO CRAZy I @GO COCO
the x coordinate is -b/2a
chess players shouldnt act like this
u proved y

ohok
challenge me
knief how does it feel to be left brained

man what the fack
life will be better
I feel the same way
Except i do not have the words
To express that
Hes definitely german
oh
i’m not a humanities nerd
we don’t share the same opinion lol
already have plenty
same
because they’re fun
if u enjoy doing it it’s hardly considered work
pleasure
i go out of my way to learn them myself
yea effort is like getting out of bed and going to school
i’ve gone for about 2/3 of the days
i miss 2 days a week
ap calc bc ap physics c ap stats honors english ap government and politics hmm gym study halls and im self studying for ap physics c electricity and magentism as well as ap ohysics 2
those r exam only
yes
even the 4 sqrt x4 thing?
mhm my floor is covered in physics books
wait
it’s x^4
y did u write 4 instead of 2
bruh
just take the fourth root
😭
nursing
.
i don’t consider medical science
fuck nursing then
pray for them
i think it wouldn’t be that bad
engineering is just easier physics
with more labs
what the fuck does this mean
I have a major headache rn
😭
square root, cube root, fourth root, fifth root,…
my brain had enough 🤔
to the power of 1/4…
it’s ok
I need to get a 95 on this test
But i cant fucking think rn
I blame
I m gnna do this
modernity
Yup
the industrial revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race
Wait wtf why does it say x cant equal 3 and then its telling me its continuous
Ik i should be living in a bush
for all x not equal to 3
ohh
gonna go live in the woods
no
nvm
4
true
not negative 4
because it’s not an equation
so u only take the positive root
ohhok
when answering a continuous qauestion
I need to give the limits of all
And the actual y value like f(x)
wdym
yea u did it right
the limit has to equal the function at that point to be continuous
ohh ok i think i get this stuff now
I think Im more confused on how to do the limits if i have unnkown variables
well wdym unknown variables
well u take the limit from the left and right
and plug into the function
in this case the function is x
and ur coming from the left
1=1
this is continuous at 1 but not continuous for x>2
if ur doing calc r u doing the same stuff as me
no lol
my class is doing infinite series
but me
i finished the curriculum last year
from self study
getting a 100 on a quiz brings me down
yea +5 for test if u do 20 questions
but the 100/100 brings my average down
lol
bruhhhhhhhhhh
do yk the class averages for ur tests
pfft probably like a 65-70
maybe lower
the valedictorian gets 85 usually
there’s one kid that gets in the 90s usually but then again there’s been some where he gets 70s
do u sit in the front or the back
back
OFC
i read
and do homework
and raise my hand whenever i have something insightful to add
or the class gets stuck
or the teacher is wrong and doesn’t know the fast way
u know more than the teacher
yes
they’re high school teachers
they don’t learn more than their pay grade
or atleast they forgot all of it from college
how tf do i write
damn
write what
and i looked up to my calc teacher
the limits
literally because he’s 6’7
LMFAOOOOOOOO
when would i have to do f(3) in this situation to see if theres a hole
well f(3) is 2+sqrt(k)
we need that for continuity
make sure u right g(x) btw
ohhh yea
i’ll sub in
LOL
ontarios pretty close
ok detroitian
new york*
bc huh
I feel liek talking to smart people makes me dumber
so then i act it
in reality
LMAo
big brain
oh dawg
how’d u know?!??!!
I cant be diddling around
⁉️⁉️
I hope diddlings not what i think it means
luna actually sasha was my old dogs name
awwwwwwww
fuck
So only if i confirmed its continuous i can do the f(plug in f(x) value) thing
to check for a hole
wdym
Wait we're talking about dogs right
me neither man
Im gonna look at my sisters old tests
studious
works so hard for community college
yep
typical girl hand writing
taking all uni courses for nothing
cant even get a scholarhsip
im doing a 1 year uni degree tho

pooch?
She broke ur heart?
LMAO
U litieraly just showed me your dog

yesterday i went on a walk w my friend and in her backyard she had two big black dogs
unfortunate
quite the story
how else would you communicate?
petting them
where tf did i go wrong here
u used first principles
fungusdesu on the prowl
how do you know im here
oh
it says ur typing
mans been here the whole time
my memes?
no, my questions from yesterday
oh lol💀
ugh i hate when my stupid sister sends me tiktok notifications
when im struggling to survie
do i need to expand all the bottom
no
fr
bingo
My sister didnt get it
nice right
Im gonna laugh in her face
simply smarter
whats ur intelligence quotient?
like 42
knew it
im gonna go shut my eyes for 5 mins
so i dont have a headache
My brain is less rot
nvm
less rot
wait im doing this first
It says to state where it is discontinuous
So do I set them equal to eachother
and plug in 0
Ok they equal eachother
So that means i have to check f(0)
And I can only check f(0) on teh part that acc includes it so x^2-4 / x+1
well
Ok so its only discontinouuouos at x = -1
Yea
≠
yea i wrote dat
ok imma find liit to init
limit to inifni
ugh
I hate biology
dont tell me ur good at it too
this mf
ohhhhhh
How do I determine the f(x) of the limit
by graphing or is there another way
holy fck im stupid
y = x + 1
wait
💀
-2 + 1
ohh !
brilliant!!
Stop

i can not seem to find any formula for generalizations of ii and iii
(Algebra CS)
for i i found n^(n*n) which kinda makes sense but i still wonder, is it correct?
Are we only considering binary operations here?
yes
Also if you plug in n=3 to n^(n*n) you get 19683
That's obviously too much operations for A
yes, i was thinking the same
For a set with n elements, how many permutations of possible inputs are there?
no idea
A binary operation takes two elements as input
So we choose 2 elements out of n elements
Does that sound familiar
yes
and one for output
this is the source for the n^(n*n) btw
https://proofwiki.org/wiki/Count_of_Commutative_Binary_Operations_on_Set
https://proofwiki.org/wiki/Count_of_Binary_Operations_with_Identity
i just found these on commutativity and identity element, is this what i need or am i looking at sth totally diffrent?
Yea you can study rhose proofs

its ok
IM SORRY
what the heck is that
the blue equal each other because of alternate segment theorem
what class is that for
Man these types of like “heres 50 points and lines. Solve for all of them. Go.” questions are why i hate geometry
help
GO
im doing calculus
what is that
goodbye
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
very hard math
Calculus is big math
DONT TAKE CALCULUS
Take calculus. High school calculus makes you feel smart
thats EXACTLY what im doing
smart, you are hired!
its true i have an 80 in calc and i had a 63 in advanced func
Canada?
i failed my parabolas test
Fellow canadian?
yes
NICE
OMG YES
What was it about
um
IT WAS PARABOLAS BUT TRUST ME
IT WAS A BUNCH OF WORD PROBLEMS
and we had 30 minutes
Damn why is there squares in my functions i thought this was algebra not geometry
bro just wait till grade 11 math
jkjk
hi why does your channel always seem so interesting
bc im interesting
my pass mark iso nly 50%
i know i got 52
bc its 11pm and im 50% insane and 50% asleep
and i was like 7th highest
i got a 21% on the exam
Idk
LMAO
its ok i got 0% for humanities once
it was geography
slay!
that is so silly
no it told me to explain stuff
and i slept for all thje classes
so they hande dme the test and i got a big fat 0%
Ok hi how tf did you get that the blue angles are equal
HELP THATS ME IN GRADE 9 CAUSE COVID
MY TEACHER CALLED MY MOM BECAUSE I WASNT ANSWERING AND MY MOM SAID I WAS SLEEPING
GOOD BYE
that's a tricky geometry problem
omg. RIGHT
i can't see it and its frustrating me : )
sleep is important, math isn't. wise you
BRO I WOKE UP DURING CLASS AND CALLED MY TEACHER MUM
what a god
ok i honestly don't even remember this "alternate segment theorem"
so no wonder i had no idea how to do this
just google circle angle theorems
and point to the picture
what is an alternate segment anyway
if it is im gonna 💀
idk but its in all my questions
If you have the solution why are you asking?
BC I DONT UNDESATDN IT
Which part?/
Did you read it once?
Read it and tell the line number which you dont understand
why is ace = bce
where
Bc its an angle bisector
"CE bisects <ACB"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-jLS-8cEDw&ab_channel=AnilKumar
this is a pretty good explanation

lol
Dude you told the alternate seg thm too
now why do they just take acd
What's the problem then?
because acd+ace=DCE and you need dce
why is dce alpha + beta
gotta be honest i don't think i have ever seen this alternate segment theorem ever before 😄
are my msges visible?
acd=beta and ace= alpha 💀
You are not even trying
Cya
thats crazy
we started it in year 8
also possible i'm just forgetting, i took geometry over 20 years ago and while i've used a lot of the common stuff, this is a bit more obscure
in my 30s
bros on his period
In year 8 we learnt about fraction addition bro what middle school did u go to
so whats ur career like now
so what part of the problem are you confused by still?
is it the alternate segment thing or something else?
i think i got it wait
do the angles
need to be in the correct orientation corresponding to the sides or nah
or is it not similar
?
not sure what you are referring to
idk i was in an extension class
for the alternate segment thing?
like when it says angle ace = angle bce can it also be angle ace = angle ecb
bce and ecb are the same angle yeah, you can name them however you want as long as the vertex is in the middle
but u cant do that when like
(C)
for angles its fine, but not for triangles
angle just refers to the...angle but when you're talking about similar triangles you are specifying if ABC is similar to triangle DEF then vertex A corresponds to vertex D etc., if you wanna be technically correct
is there any other way to solve without sum of opposite interior angles
ive nevber seen that in my life
one sec
i think it's just this, basically since the sum of angles in a triangle is 180, but also the sum of angles on a line is also 180, it means the "exterior angle" to that red angle C is the same as the sum of a + b
so that one's pretty simple
just stuff adding up to 180
is there another way to do it
that ways hard for me to see cuz ive never learnt it
i learnt other circle theorems
so if you look in the image i just posted above, the red angle is basically that one at E
and its "exterior" angle is DEC
oh yeah
since we know the yellow is alpha and the blue is beta (from the previous step) that means the exterior is alpha + beta
does that help?
so thats pretty much it now you get that both the angles you wanted to show are congruent are alpha + beta
Wait if E+a=180 but E+a+b=180 bc of the triangle doesnt that mean that b is 0
"angle E" is ambiguous, there are various angles with vertex at E, angles DEC (the exterior angle) and angle CEB are different angles
The big angle E, angle CEB
so what are you talking about?
CEB+the red part has to be 180 bc of the line, but CEB+red+blue has to also be 180 bc of the triangle
angle CEB IS the red part, where are you getting CEB + red = 180?
CEB + blue + yellow = 180
hi guys.. i have another question...
CEB + CED = 180
Wait no
me go sleepy
I thought yellow was equal to CED
gnight
pls answer one more

what do i d here
does the denominator remind you of any identities?
after that you can use subsitution
write the denominator as cosx * cosx
use one cosx with sinx in numerator to get tanx
and write the 1/cosx as secx
try substituion now
@lament schooner Has your question been resolved?

how did markscheme go from step 1 to step 2
I think both sides were squared, but wouldn't y^2 become y^4 in that case
he used this trig identity
plugging in x=pi/n
r u familiar?
ok
is there a simpler way
addition
?
more abstraction
theres no way of getting to step 2 without use of trig identites if that's what ur asking
it isn't even in my data booklet
i only see like $1-\cos^2{\theta}=\sin^2{\theta}$
so i thought that would be closest
yeah ok
see if there's a section on "double angle identities" in your booklet
if not theres a geometric proof you can probably find online
and the identity i showed u is rly easily derived from double angle identities
there is but it doest have it in same form
just do some manipulations urself
ok
i can help if needed
do practice problems! always helpful
ok
