Hey guys, I ran a program that, based off previous years' tests, can predict AIME cutoff score, HR score, and DHR score for the 10A.
AIME cutoff: 94
HR: 105
DHR: 120
It also analyzed the problems from the A, and predicted some topics that will be on the B (usually, topics NOT assessed on the A will be on the B)

I did the 12a from this year today and the 12a from last year as a senior - this years 12a felt a lot more direct (a decent amount of bookwork even in the later questions like 24 and 19)
granted I had some not so ideal circumstances before the 12a I took as a senior
so I was barely mentally there (to the point where I spent 5 minutes on p1 rip)
Oh that is true last year had a lot more abstract thinking required or just knowing how to do that problem through practice since they aren’t as common
If you take amc in senior year will scores release early enough for them to be on college apps
I got mine the day after
so yeah
aime scores came out a little after
I just sent a follow up email
put a comment in additional info about my score crash

Yeah sure! So the AIME (American Invitational Math Exam) cutoff is the score you need to get to qualify for AIME (about top 6-7% of test takers qualify). HR stands for Honor Roll, and is about top 5%. DHR stands for Distinguisehd Honor Roll, and is about top 1%. Hope this helps!

this was one of those where I thought I could do but couldn't solve for a long time
although it is my first amc
For this problem, the key thing is to utilize the formula for the sum of the nth even numbers (n)(n+1) in some way
I did it by seeing the pattern as follows:

etc. Then the last number of the nth row is n, and each row has an odd amount of elements. The sum of consecutive odd numbers is n^2. (After 2nd row there have been 4 numbers, after the third there have been 9 numbers.) Then after the 45th row there have been 2025 numbers, ending with 45.

I just did not know quite how many questions I got wrong
i think its 45 because each set of the pattern 1 212 32123 etc have increasing odd number of terms so you check the number of terms till the sum of consecutive odd numbers reaches 2025 and you get 45 so there are 45 sets of the same pattern and it must be the last term of the set because the AP satifsfies that there are 45 terms perfectly that give 2025 so it is 45 .
the question would proably become much harder if they gave a random non perfect square number other than like 2025

this is how i did it during the test: i found the pattern 1, 2 | 1, 2, 3, 2 | 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 2 | 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 4, 3, 2|..., and I noticed that the number of terms in the blocks follow the pattern 2, 4, 6, 8... so after n blocks the total number of terms will be 2(1+2+3+4+...n) which can also be expressed as 2(n(n+1)/2) -> n(n+1). ik 2025 is 45^2 so i plugged 44 as n in and 44(45) = 1980. so we are now in the 45th block and there are 2025-1980 = 45 terms remaining. in the 45th block it will increase by 1 to 46 then go down, so we know for the fact that the 45th term in the 45th block is 45. therefore, 45 is the final answer.

hi guys I have like a question on how to get like really good at problem solving, especially in math/physics olympiads, I have been doing math olympiads since I was like 6 years old but not really seeing that much progress
in my school tho they do it till 10th bro
- practice problems slightly above your level
- learn general techniques, like test smaller techniques to see patterns or find invariants. it seems obvious but they need to become second nature
if you read a solution for a problem and don't understand something, add the concept to your repertoire
