dunno how feasible this would be but I think it would be cool if Kelvin can use the animations from the player to hold guns.

Maybe if you made him pick up a stick and hit enemies? Could be cool?

I don't like messing around with animations though as the AI has so much code interfering with so much stuff. Figuring that all out is hard, but this does give kelvin mounted spear launchers which are very effective weapons.

Kelvin could grab enemies for like 5 seconds and allow you to attack them without them being able to move until they break free from Kelvin's clutches

Anything that requires messing with the animations of npcs while they are active is usually a hassle to deal with.
