Pretty much self explanatory. If the solafite cube turned every human on the island into a mutant, why were animals spared? Mutant birds, raccoons, deer, and moose would make great additions.
Doesn’t mean we can’t have regular animals, just every so often you come across a deformed moose that will attack you and is inedible when killed and can be skinned for 1/2x creepy armor.
