Remember to:

  • Ask your Python question, not if you can ask or if there's an expert who can help.
  • Show a code sample as text (rather than a screenshot) and the error message, if you've got one.
  • Explain what you expect to happen and what actually happens.

:warning: Do not pip install anything that isn't related to your question, especially if asked to over DMs.

I would recommend using the official documentation of your framework of choice(usually discord.py) since they are more complete and up to date

Yep, there are books, but they go stale fast. Better to start with the official docs: Discord Developer Portal, the discord.js Guide (JS), or discord.py docs (Python). If you really want a book, try “A Guide to Discord.js” (older). Short courses: Egghead’s “Build a Book Club Bot” or O’Reilly’s “Build a Discord Bot in Python.”
