You might have multiple different python versions installed, in which case VSCode may select the wrong one.
Check the output of each of these in your Terminal```
py --list
pip --version
py -m pip --version
where py
python -m pip --version
where python
that does not really helps on it own, so much I didn't even include it in the list
I would suggest creating a venv in vscode and installing pygame in the venv.

Follow this tutorial but substitute pygame for pyglet
