For some reason the print statement in the function "paddle_left_up" is not being called but the paddle is still moving? Call me dumb but how is it possible that the print statement does not run but the paddle still moves from inside that function? Its like its just skipping over the print statement for some reason?

nevermind a quick IDE restart fixed that issue, now for another issue, the send_data function is not printing the statement with the argument data given to it
