#Losing too much gold when I lose

Gold loss is a % your money based on difficulty.
You can also use console commands to give yourself gold back if you don't want to change the difficulty but feel the gold loss is too much: https://github.com/Card-Forge/forge/wiki/Console-and-cheats
Another options is to edit the values for goldLoss in your config file at \res\adventure\common\config.json (assuming you're playing the default world - every world has it's own config). But be aware that new versions will overwrite your changes.
I don't like gold loss for defeats - it leads to the temptation to save scum and makes for bad inventory management because you can avoid it by just not selling cards until you need the gold. Realm of Legends turned it off entirely.
I'd love to have this as an option, like on/off or changing the percentage directly.
Yeah I agree that the fun of the game is sometimes taking the L and learning from it and rechallenging but when you are carrying a lot of gold the hit feels way too punishing. Maybe if instead losing against an enemy type took your gold but stored it, and whenever you beat it you get all the gold they had stolen from you basically
You can convert your gold into crystals to prevent losing as much. You still lose a little money in the exchange, but not as much as when you lose a battle.
