Blocked creature deals damage to opponent after blocker leaves play

I don't know about game log, not sure how to do that. A screenshot wouldn't show it, it is a sequence of things. For example, I have [[Wirewood Symbiote]] in play, opponent's creature (without trample) attack, I block it let's say with a [[Quirion Ranger]], click OK. Then I use Wirewood Symbiote's ability to bounce Quirion Ranger to my hand. Then the arrow passes from the attacking creature pointing Quirion, to now point my face. I can only hit OK, and then the damage is applied.
