#Help with installing forge

Which version of java are you using?
Is the file ./res/skins/default/sprite_icons.png at this location, is it corrupted? Can you open it with an image viewer?
I suspect the java process is not getting enough memory, but you have 16GB, are there other programs running on your system?
How are you starting the game, by running the forge-adventure.exe? Could you try running the forge-adventure.cmd instead? This should specifically allocate enough memory to the process.
Was using java 17, but also tried with java 8 and 21 and that didnt help. I will get home in around 6 hours to test more things. I tried it running as the only program on its own and that didnt seem to help, though it certainly could be that I gave it too much memory? I wasnt able to figure out how to give it less but Im happy to try that when I get home.
I had opened the sprite icons png and it looked fine to me, I also reinstalled many different times thinking that was it and it didnt help. I tried running forge-adventure.exe to run it, I will try running the .cmd file when I get the chance, opening forge.exe was working for me, so I found it a bit odd.
Thank you for the ideas to troubleshoot 🙂
