I'm making custom cards and I was wondering how to go about making custom tokens?

What exactly do you mean by "custom tokens" here?

So I’m making custom cards and some of them say make a 1/1 demon token or a token of the custom card when it dies or a 2/2 flaying shark token.

Am I just supposed to make a card for the token and put it where I put the other custom cards and I'm just overthinking or do tokens have a special folder
