#Token Filepath on Mac? v2.0.03
19 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
tokens is a folder next to cards folder in the pics folder in the cache location.
forge/pics/tokens/
token images reside only in that root token folder and are not separated by set/edition.
That doesn't seem to be the case anymore. There was a rework of token images and now they do have set folders.
Unless it's only like this on Windows and Linux and for some reason not implemented on Mac?
Correct, it's just not implemented on Mac. Github says
Mac:
TODO Add filepath
If I open a support ticket do you think they'll work on it or is it more likely they'll say it's already on the to do list and not a priority?
Where exactly are you seeing that in GitHub?
I would expect it to mean more like "I don't know what the filepath is on Mac, cause i dont have one"
That's likely because they don't have a Mac and don't know where the files are located in that OS. You can look inside your Forge.log and see where the card pics are saved.
The tokens should be saved nearby.
Wait, are you making custom card scripts? Or just trying to get images???
That link is not about card images.
The reason mac file path is missing there is because custom cards folder is in the userdata folder not in the cache folder, where images are stored. The wiki page I provided you shows exactly where token images belong in mac systems in the cache folder.
Just custom images for evergreen tokens used in a custom set. What I was looking at was for token card scripts? I’ll look at what you shared when I get home. Thanks!
Oh my god you're right. I was not wrapping my head around the fact that mac has hidden folders. Lifetime Windows user here on my first mac. Thank you so much!
Thank you for your help with the token images, but now I'm back to the drawing board with custom token scripts. I tried to follow those directions as best as I could but I have this script pasted into every possible combination of folders imaginable. The game crashes at token creation citing "wrong token name". It matches u_komodo_pup in the script name, in the script of the card that creates it, and in the set file.
I would suggest posting here https://discord.com/channels/267367946135928833/809052903369211924
I don’t know about doing custom cards like that.
