Apologies if this is covered in the FAQ. I did look through those posts and didn't see what I'm looking for.
I'm currently running the Android app version v.2.0.02-SNAPSHOT-01.07. In reading through the Discord FAQ, GitHub discussions, and Reddit, it seems like it should auto-update. Am I wrong? Do I need to download each snapshot manually when they're released and re-install the app?

You need to manually update, you’re on too old of a version.
Forge changed servers early this year and your version is looking for the old servers… you don’t need to uninstall but you just need to install a current version to update.

Yeah if you just go back to guthub and get the new APK, follow the same steps to install it will.update instead with no loss of data
