I managed to get everything running and even play several games, but when I exited Forge I wasn't able to run the executable (which I moved from the folder to my desktop) again. The same is true for Forge Adventure which I haven't played yet. In the former case nothing happens and I have already tried running it as administrator. For the latter I try to run it and I get this error message: "Error: Unable to access jarfile C:\Users\NAME\Desktop\forge-gui-mobile-dev-2.0.01-jar-with-dependencies.jar" I had downloaded java just before playing for the first time and everything still seemed to work fine, so I'm at something of a loss.

Okay it worked but only when I went through the forge windows command script

#

When I did this popped up in the windows command terminal:
"FSkin > can't find skins directory!
Forge v.2.0.01-SNAPSHOT-01.02 (forge.GuiDesktop@7ec7ffd3)
Windows 10 (10.0 amd64)
BellSoft (Java 17.0.14+10-LTS, OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM)"

#

So now I can play but I'm also scared to close the window because I don't know if the same trick is going to work twice lol

You need to keep everything in the same folder

#

You can't go moving it to a different place because then it doesnt know how to find its assets

Just put the files back in the install folder and create a link to the exe.
Right click the exe file in the install folder, click “show more options”, click “send to”, click “desktop (create shortcut)”
