#Hanging on Card Audit (Android)

I'm running the latest snapshot on Android. When I attempt to audit the card and image data, it hangs on the 'processing cards" screen. The app doesn't respond to any inputs and if I switch apps or lock the device, the app crashes.

It should finish more or less 2 minutes on slow phones/device. On latest flagship device it should finish a lot faster. What device do you have?

It's a Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. It's for sure hanging and not working like it should. I sat for over 10 minutes with no change on my last attempt.

#

I did try clearing the app cache with no change.

winged crypt
#

weird it should finish, forge version you use?

#

Ok i tried latest snaps in redmi pad and it finishes about 50 seconds..

Here's my version

winged crypt

after the crash can you upload forge.log, it may show error when auditing cards

craggy bear
#

It doesn't show anything when it crashes. The app just closes with no message.

#

Would I find forge.log somewhere in the app files?

it doesn't say anything. I suggest open card audit and wait for 2-3 minutes (make sure your screen display doesn't turn off/or lock automatically for at least 5 minutes), then upload the forge.log if it still not finish in under 5 minutes.

Alright

winged crypt

hmm the SM-T878U tablet has good CPU, it should take 1 minute or less to process all those cards

craggy bear
#

Let's see if that one gives you info.

#

This is all it does

winged crypt
#

yes it seems it doesn't finish but it didn't say anything on the log, I only have samsung phone to test but still it should have finish

craggy bear
#

That log was without reopening the app

winged crypt
#

pressing back should close the processing cards, does the back button react to input?

craggy bear
#

It doesn't.

winged crypt
#

hmm it froze on your device...

craggy bear
#

The app itself seems to. All other devices functions are normal

#

It has worked in the past. I'm not sure at what point it stopped.

winged crypt
#

the function is last updated 2022 and never touched since then so I don't know why it doesn't work now

craggy bear
#

I have an idea. It's a longshot. I could backup and remove the card data I have then try it

winged crypt
#

The only changes was null check but still it shouldn't prevent anything to produce the log, do you have modified card scripts?

craggy bear
#

No. I haven't tried to modify anything.

#

Would this be the right file to backup and remove?

winged crypt
#

no, if you didn't have modified anything then it should work. you don't need to do anything.

craggy bear
#

I made a backup of the cardsfolder.zip and removed it. This was my result afterwards.

#

There's what I had. I don't know if looking into it will give any clues.

craggy bear
#

Shouldn't it try to download missing card data at some point?

winged crypt
#

Delete version.txt and build.txt inside res folder, and restart forge. But the updated snapshot assets is already 11.09. Try to redownload the apk and manually install it

Is there a reason you feel the need to Audit?

#

I would just.. not do it if it doesnt work for your device

craggy bear
#

Because I have some cards missing and I was trying to audit the unimplemented cards. One card I have missing is Urza's Contact Lenses.

cold canopy
#

The card is missing or the image is missing?

craggy bear
#

The card itself isn't showing up in the deck editor. Several of the Un cards are missing.

@craggy bear i update the auditer (most probably will be on next snapshot), don't know if it will work on your device but upon testing on my tablet, from 40 seconds to roughly 10 seconds it generated here on pc would be more or less 3 seconds.

@winged crypt ever since the audit update it's not working correctly here, either it just does nothing/hangs and I have to close and repoen Forge or it will show an endless list of No token found. I have tried several times and if it's not crashing, then the list of missing tokens in the log are from different sets each time I run it.

Edit: I'm on latest master in IntelliJ. Audit was working fine two days ago (I use it to generate an unsupportedcards.txt which I use to update our netdecks, as well as to check for missing images)

winged crypt
#

Did you try to update to latest master and still crashing? Does the discrepancy only for tokens or also from the cards?

clear rivet

Yes I'm on latest and yes only on tokens
