#Daily update

You're literally complaining about the devs working on improving the game...
If you hit cancel, it doesn't bother you for some span of time. We aren't going to change that to 2 weeks though because that just means people are going to report bugs that are already fixed
I do think an option to opt out for 24 hours would be cool, but it's by no means annoying. It takes barely a second to refuse the update.
A few times I was forced into getting the update.
Nah it asks every time I open forge.
I thought I fixed this, if the time difference is at least 12 hours or more then it will ask for update.. should be on 10.31 snaps but I guess maybe increase the difference..
Uh, note. I'm still on 10.30. Maybe that's why lol
I'll increase it to 24 hours
How are you forced? Unless you have outdated res folder on android and you are using new apk, it will force you since they don't match and will produce unknown bugs since card scripts are mostly updated. On desktop, it shouldn't force you since the res folder and the app are packaged.
There is not any other software out there that asks for updates each day. That's why they use versioning and releases. I said 2 weeks but any other application do it each time they have a lot of updates. You could leave the option if someone wants it but it definitely should not be the default.
The problem is you using the snapshot version
If for example you would use the Nightly Version of Firefox, you also would get updates each day
Yeah I mean it's called a daily snapshot for a reason.. it's intention is so people can test and we can fix bugs quicker, it's not supposed to be a release version.
There is not any other software out there that asks for updates each day.
This is not true. I use plenty of software that updates daily if I'm using their daily snapshots. It's kinda in the name.
That's why they use versioning and releases.
We do use versioning and releases as seen in #announcements
Where can I get the non-snapshot/standard version to not have the daily updates notification? Because at one time I stopped seeing that option and only found the snapshot.
this isnt what they are asking at all and its pretentious as hell to make this claim. countless peices of software have an option to control update frequency
daily does kind of imply daily, however, ive used lots of daily builds of software that dont prompt me to update everyt day. Its a minor inconviencence (at worst) that I am confident that the OP can get used to or work around, but implying they are complaining about dev work is a disingenuous attempt to belittle their stance/question
