I've been fighting with this for ages, roughly since the Doctor Who mechanics were being added to Forge.

My game just wont boot. I've tried reinstalling Forge, Java, following the MANUAL, googling the issue, and have just found nothing.

When I attempted to launch it via the method detailed in the MANUAL, the prompt was recognized by the console, the little loading ring appeared next to my mouse, and... nothing. No code running, no error message, nothing.

So, I'm frankly stumped, and would like all the help I can get

What version do you have? We had a release that was causing issues for some people, but that was fixed in latest

The only knowledge I managed to get was by running the Windows Command for Forge-Adventure

Can you run ./forge.cmd from the command line?

In the extracted folder of the snapshot do you have a sentry.properties file?

I have the file. I tried again after moving it from Assets into the Snapshot file itself, and that gave me a new bit in the command line

I just grabbed everything from the Assets file I had in the Snapshot folder and moved it into the Snapshot folder itself and now Forge will actually boot

I'd recommend always extracting to fresh folders

The weird thing is that this hadnt happened until the Doctor cards were added in. Before then, I would just download the new version and be done with it. Weird

Yea i think thats when the release got messed up. I wonder if you were messing with it and it got things in a bad state
