Game crash on trying to open adventure mode

Forge v.1.6.58-SNAPSHOT-08.08 PC version

Just tried to open the .xe (java8 adventure) and it loads and then just crashes.

Let me know if anyone can help

Try a new copy in a new folder, I don't know a ton about the resource management portion of the app but that looks like it's expecting files that it can't find.

Thanks for responding so quick ! Unfortunately, still crashing after some preliminary loading (before getting to the main menu)

I think delete your Forge preference folder from app-data, and try running it again. I think it's better to attach the forge.log after crashing

Ok it seems something is preventing forge to have read and write access on your computer

When you delete the preference folder forge should generate it upon starting up

I don't know what setup you have on your PC but forge should have permission to start properly.

I guess rename the Forge folder in appdata, and restart Forge again (it should recreate the folder) @rotund grail

Sorry just been out of time lately, just tried this, same thing, crashes after some loading. It did remake a folder called forge again, so im not sure if it doesnt have read and write access if it is doing that?

should be the same error as before but attaching the latest crash log from doing what you suggested

You could try the Java uninstall reinstall we did the other night.

Another program I have that uses Java often breaks after I use Forge too much, and the only solution is to uninstall and reinstall it. It never breaks my forge though.
