Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\res\adventure\music\skin\cursor2.png (The system cannot find the path specified)

After checking, there is no \music\skin folder at all in the 3-23 snapshot

did you extract to new folder?

heavy mantle

yes

#

brand new download, first time trying to play Forge

#

the .tar file is also missing that directory

orchid plinth
#

does regular forge.exe loads?

heavy mantle
#

Yes, no issue there

#

im thinking why it looks into other folder, it shouldnt be the case, how do you run forge adventure?

I extracted the .tar to a folder on my desktop called Forge. I locate the forge-adventure.exe within that folder and run it. The initial menu loads fine, but after clicking Adventure, it gets stuck on a black screen with those logs infinitely scrolling.

do you have the screenshot of the folder? I want to see the contents

#

it should have these:

does double clicking forge-adventure.cmd works?

heavy mantle
#

same result

orchid plinth
#

weird, it should look at the res folder.. did you just install java? can you open command prompt, type java -version

#

should display the version and maybe some path

#

Ok looking at the code, it seems the config path is taken from the user settingsdata, did you install forge before?

#

I think deleting the configuration from your adventure save should fix it

#

delete settings.json from your appdata:

#

if it doesn't work, i'll move the music folder to another location on next snapshot.

Hmm odd, when I look into my appdata\forge there is no adventure folder
