Makes sense. Wouldn't be an issue in the case of most buff enchantments, usually no reason to buff enemy but in this case there's target enemy creature on the ETB. Very hard to tell which portion of the ability you're selecting target for.

I initially missed the "opponent controls" and assumed I was targeting the enemy that would be excited because the first ability had auto-chosen my creature as the only valid target.
