本列车是开往 vs 本次列车是开往

What's the difference between "本列车是开往...。" and "本次列车是开往...。". I noticed see that one system uses 次 but not the other. Why is that?

This train is bound for... in Chinese, it always translate in to "本次列车是开往...。"

Because 本列车 means the material object of the train. 本次列车 means the concept of which in the train timetable.
