Kemmenberg is a old city somewhere in the Alps.

A view on it's market place. The town was founded in the 8th along an old roman trade road and became an important trading hub for goods through the Alps. Although some of the core has been modernized in the 19th and 20 centuries, it's historical layout has been preserved.

this boulevard was originally built in the 19th century after the city walls were demolished (like Vienna). It was lined with rich villas and grand monuments. Unfortunally post-war city planners saw the axis as a perfect place to build a highway. Many buildings were demolished and the park was removed. The boulevard was lined with a massive shopping center which would have connected to the highway. However, due to massive protests and costly mistakes the highway remained unfinished. In the 21st century the park was returned and the highway was dug underneath. Developers have begun to return the park to it's old glory, with a recent addition being a museum. Some modernism remains however.
