As an alternative to the suggestion here for procedural parking lots by area ( https://discord.com/channels/263634513861541888/1255122087077478420 which may be difficult to implement well, but would still be really cool), it would be cool to be able to place dedicated parking lanes for manual creation of parking lots. Along one or both sides of these narrow one- or two- lane car paths is a relatively wide area for perpendicular parking, which would allow for much greater density of cars parked per length. Very low top speeds make these unpreferred by drivers as thoroughfares, and pedestrians can cross freely.

This system would leverage mechanics already present in Cities Skylines 2 to allow dynamic parking areas that suit the needs of the area they're in, rather than forcing the area to be designed around a prefabricated lot asset
Like these?
Exactly like those!
Is that a mod or something that exists in the base game that I never found mention of on the wiki?
Very popular network asset set for C:SL1. Here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1285201733
Darn! Parking is irrelevant in CS1, but something like this in CS2 would be a gamechanger
Well maybe not a but it would be very, very nice to have
The video is a bit out of date but technically there are invisible & functional parking roads in the game you can access with Find It. The ones they used on all the lots. https://youtu.be/IDzKag5WhI0?si=OdlwK4U8Pdc5eUsE
Learn how to create your own CUSTOM and FUNCTIONAL car parks in Cities Skylines 2.
(Edit: Anarchy bulldozer features have been moved to a new mod called Better Bulldozer)
With the mod Better Bulldozer, we now have some incredible new tools for the bulldozer, one of which makes custom car parks now more accessible to use in game. In this episod...
Adding visible versions probably isn't too much of a leap.
Wow, please, devs, I beg you, add this to the base game
Thank you for showing me this, it fills me with hope
