Sonderstab F operated in 1941 supporting the pro-Axis government of Rashid Ali in Iraq, providing military advisors, planning assistance, and limited equipment during the Anglo-Iraqi conflict. In Iran, it had minimal influence, as the country was effectively trapped between British and Soviet forces after the Anglo-Soviet invasion.
