Hi, I'm bloopy and I'm learning.. or well, trying to learn how to sing. I'm currently going through songs that've been stuck in my head or that're from things I like, currently with Heathers being a big one.
I'm trans so it also has doubled a little bit into being used for me to play around with my voice and try to learn how to control it better when I speak, so I have one that's passing.

As of right now, I'm trying to learn Seventeen from Heathers in specific and I don't know the terminology or how to listen for certain things and replicate them in my voice. (I'm starting the thread here and adding more afterwards with context of what my current issues are).

I'm doing Veronica's part of Seventeen in a lower octave so it's more comfortable for me to sing for the time being, since my vocal range isn't super big.
There's part of the song I see performed often and I want to be able to replicate, and I'm just not sure where to start.

There's what (to me) sounds like a bit of a whine during the
"Don't you want a life with me? Can''t we be..." lyric and I'm really not sure how to do that or where to start
