Beginner here, only recently started to try to improve my singing. Can someone help me out with the terminology and my tone?

I've sung the first chorus of "don't lose ur head" in 3 different ways. One which I think is pure chest, one which is either chest or mix (I'm having difficulty telling) and one which I think is head voice.

1: are my names for these registers correct?
2: I really don't like my tone in any of these examples. Is that just because it's my voice and I don't like my own voice, or am I maybe straining?
Disclaimer: all three are a little pitchy. I often go up a little too high when I jump up in pitch, which is what I'm currently working on.

Pure chest? (very bottom of my range): https://voca.ro/1nSHdA8BnwVO

Head voice? (Breathy, pitchy. Control is difficult at this pitch for me): https://voca.ro/15RuZqOy6Uhm

Mix? Or maybe just higher chest? I really don't know. This one is the most comfortable for me in terms of pitch:

ok so the first one on your list sounds like chest voice but there isny much power in your voice so it sounds like a breathy chest voice.

the second one is definitely head voice. it sounds pretty ok but you should work on your breathing, as it gives you more support

and for the last one, i feel like this is the most chest voice. there is still a breathiness to it. it almost sounds like you are holding back your full power.

Oh, interesting. I thought the third one was super loud when I recorded it, wouldn’t have thought of breath support if you hadn’t pointed it out. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll focus more on breath support going forward!

it is definitely less breathy than the first one

#

but in all of them i can sense that you are holding back for some reason

#

dont be scared to free your voice and stuff because you sounds good and you have tons of potential

Thanks for the encouragement! - but don't worry, I'm not holding back, I think I'm falling into some bad habits making it sound that way.
I think your support comment is spot on. I couldn't hear it when I recorded the samples, but I can now - too much effort is going into that third take to get to the volume it was at (trust me, it really was loud) and the tone is thin.
