I do 2D programming, game design, and writing.
I am very detail oriented and like to focus on quality over quantity, and impactful presentation.
I got 2nd place in the last Big Game Jam (against all odds in my opinion) and 9th place on overall scoring.
My game was Breathe In, Breathe Out.
My personal downfall with how that game came out was not taking the time to be on the same page with the circumstances of my team's lives and time to dedicate to the jam, not in the sense that they let me down, obviously they didn't if we got 2nd place, but in the sense that I failed to scope the jam project to accommodate that.
I also didn't have foundational knowledge on how to use layouts and external events, so making any changes to the game's programming across levels was a massive time drain. The lack of a tileset system was rough too.
But I am better with that now.
I didn't intend to write that much, I promise I'm not some 3deep4u insufferable redditor lol, I'm just very transparent with what's on my mind and I value that.
I don't enter these jams to win, I do them for fun. I just end up throwing myself 200% into what I work on because I want to do my best.
Anyways, whatever artist wants to work on this should preferably be capable of 2d animation, even if simple. We'll work on a little test project before the jam to make sure we jam, so we can avoid any conflict during the jam. Like I said, I want it to be fun!
If this wall of text is a turn off I totally get it, but if you read all this and still wanna jam then let's do it and equally do our best!
