FYI when Escort appears in DD/EDD, it is always only one refuel. Was not that way in the very beginning after Escort was introduced, but GSG changed it in a patch a long while back.

In my first try we had this guy that was pressing buttons like crazy when he was the only player "ready", we somehow make it to last stage but this guy had the brilliant idea to activate black box, alone, it was a shit show lol

no idea why the host didn't kick him, dude was like lv 200 btw, the prize we pay to play in pubs

Ironically, my first success for this EDD was a team without a driller. I was gunner, we had a scout and two engineers. I was worried we would have trouble with mactera and supplies, but it went smooth as heck.

Team quality really counts for a lot 😛

funny enough, the subsequent run, i had less luck

In my case the engineers were running with hyperpropellant and I think the laser setup that focuses down single targets, and I think between them they were nuking down priority targets really well.

Mactera plague -> Shield disruption -> swarmageddon. At least nitra was plentiful, otherwise we would have been screwed

The Gemini system on stage 3 probably accounts for 1/3 of my kills

Not to even mention the 3 bulks that spawned and the endless Spitballers

Definitely one of the most rewarding EDDs to get done first try

driller is super helpful in the 2nd stage though, the tunnels are pretty tight, i failed one run because a bulk spawned and we had nowhere to run

honestly though if you pass stage 1, you're good

unless you waste too much time in stage 3

the third stage alone has like 3 close to each other near the main platform from what I remember

ECR on LOK-1 should be pretty good

and people kept dying to that same thing because the refinery was the highest place on the entire stage followed by huge pit where you're guaranteed to die

Aight, doing EDD solo rn

Stage 1 is very generous on the nitra. If you find it properly, you should have enough for just barely 4 resupply pods. The wells aren't too hard to get to even without a driller, but 2 are surrounded by a lot of goo so that's somewhat slight pain.

Stage 2 was really straight forward...a lot of trijaws and exploders though. 1 leech in the main egg room alongside 2 spitballers. Didn't find a lot of nitra however, but I'm a gunner so maybe they're all up in the ceiling

Either way no big deal, 256 nitra on me rn, going to Stage 3, hate haunted cave so I might die here lmao

Midway through stage 3, all I can say is, trying to fight a hiveguard with the haunted horror solo is painful

The latter keeps covering the back of the former, doesn't help that both have nearly the same speed 💀

Fighting the last dreadnought now. Honstly, just assume this stage has a "Cave Leech Cluster" mutator as well, cuz holy heck there is a lot of them in this mission

Solo EDD (11/03/2023)

Might be a good idea to take the movement speed and elemental damage passives, since there are poison mushrooms and goo all over the place, specially in the first and third stages.

Stage 1: liquid morkite + egg hunt (2) + regenerative bugs.

Pretty straight forward. You will not have a hard time on this, even if you are not running a driller since everything is well located and easy to find, . Lots of nitra.

Stage 2: egg hunt (4) + elimination (1) + rich atmosphere

Very easy too. Almost all eggs and the dreadnought are in the same room. A good amout of nitra here too, but not as good as the first stage. Went for stage 3 with 240 nitra + full ammo.

Stage 3: elimination (2) + morkite mining (150) + haunted cave

There is jet boots in one of the first starting caves where one of the dreadnoughts is located. Get it ASAP!! Otherwise this stage will be pure hell. With jet boots on, this stage will be way more manageable.

I had 2 friends and 1 random join me for this edd. The random was a legend 1 driller. I saw they had the spring-loaded ripper equipped in the spacerig, so I politely asked if they could switch to axes to mow the poison mushrooms we'd inevitably find, and they complied

I think they took this to heart because, along with doing their best to contribute to the mission, they also went around the map mowing basically every single poison mushroom in sight, even ones far away from where we were fighting

It was quite okayish this time round, honestly the final stage is just more annoying and time consuming than it is hard

Especially if you're smooth brain like me, not realising there was a jet boot crate until I've finished the mission and was on the way back to the drop pod

in the discord, it means vocal pods, voice chat rooms if you prefer.
As for ingame, it usually means either the drop pod (the ship that carry you from and back to the spacerig) or the supply pod (which you get ammo from).

I suggest you read #welcome-and-rules and pick a role btw.

but i personally only run charge shot on sludge pump

when sticky flames on crispr annihilates grunts and axes+cryo is the preferred way to kill bigger things

sludge pump fills in for both of them, being good against grunts with big aoe denial and damage, while also not being utterly useless against bigger things cause it strips armor and applies one hell of a slow

also the slow stacks twice, once for the enemy standing in the goop and again for having the goop on them from a direct hit with sludge

Second - rich atmosphere - felt like a custom Halo lobby with speed put to max, but overall no problems (2nd finished with summary time of 30 mins)

and if they stack up you can get even 4 for one bullet, very ammo efficient, would recommend dash with it to help with the bunny hopping playstyle of vim. one hit takes a mactera down to 10% too
