I got drill by shooting on first run to, without knowing it existed. I have tried since to stay on Doretta ever since to help others, but boy does she like to dig straight up. First time was at a good angle all the way, so both team and luck plays a factor, as some like to jump off to gun bugs instead.

I drill a tunnel to create a choke then use sticky flames to kill everything super ammo efficiently. Unfortunately sometimes an oppressor bulk spawns.
A swarm was incoming and I start drilling a tunnel, but it turns out I drilled into another cave and fell. Had only one revive left. Half health. I drill again, another tunnel. And wind up drilling yet again another damn cave and fell. Barely survive, literally no health. I start drilling another tunnel in a panic. A bulk spawns.
Trapped. I drill a bit, shoot a bit, drill a bit, shoot a bit. Thank god sticky flames slows it down. Explosion probably gonna take me out anyway. Surprisingly drill yet into another tunnel, I don't fall and use satchels to kill the bulk off.
Never gonna forget that 2 minute long of panic and wtf man.

It was so bad, we had to both take multiple trips to every gold vein we mined even with 60 cap, meanwhile there were web spitters spawning all the fucking time. We got so fed up with them we nicknamed them grapes.

Had pot of gold and killed a bulk detonator that turned everything into gold when it died so spent 10 minutes mining and depositing

The trick there is one you pop the crassus detonator---to go mine nitra like crazy. Nitra=more supply drops and ammo to defend with while you mine gold. With "pots of gold", don't take mining shortcuts like C4. you'll lose that bonus gold. Make sure you use the pickaxe. No "pots of gold"? Use C4 to mine it quicker!

@slate pelican You probably finished the mission already, but look for the one with the Waypoint and Molly Beacons towards it.
Had a similar thing happen to me, but the actual Escape Pod was behind the Drop Pod. Me and the boys roll up in the "Escape Pod," but then I look behind myself as nothing is happening and see a waypoint marker of the Drop Pod being 20 m away. Everyone scrambled to get onto the real Escape Pod as it opens.

I know. Problem is that they're not exactly new players. They're NOOBS, lol. And sometimes they ignore what I advice to do.
And I'm very low on patience lately. I think devs should add more ways to get cosmetics for high-level players. And why high level players get two blank cores from core hunt and deep dives and only 1 forge schematics? This is not cool at all.
And I have all weapon overclocks by now and I would gladly trade most of them for some random beards and hats lol.

Noob stands for newbie, so i don't know what's your point here, if you want to farm events, just do it solo and stop complaining about the way other people play, you start getting 2 blank matrix cores when you get every single cosmetic or overclock, since the game won't have anything else to give you, it'll replace one of those 2 with just a matrix core, patience is key my guy.
