I find that usually when that shit happens, it's because either the Escape Can or something like the Minehead is scripted to drop into that spot so you can probably get to it later, but if that was stuck on the arrival pod then that just sucks

I don't think that's the case. If it is, then I guess the drop pod would randomly pick a few select spots, then land at one of them. Definitely have had a few floating plants away from any pod.

drop pod can defintely go over resources. Picture I posted was a bittergem that was where the drop pod landed. Ive had gunk seeds in the pit, error cubes, and floating bolo caps (and other planets) that were at the 'ground' level of that hole in the ground.

Stage 2 is the hardest. Ton of menaces, a bulk, opressors. Menaces need to be focused down because they can run away and get back to full HP with the regenerative health. And since multiple spawn you don't want two menaces at the same time to deal with.

If you're going for the achievement, there's no time to carefully wait for the perfect moment. You gotta hit a rhythm, one barrel in two hoop cycles.

The hoop changes speed every other time it hits the left side. So wait for it to change speed, and then kick the barrel when it's near the right side.

You'll have around a second to estimate when exactly to kick.

Yeah, that's how I did it. I noticed that I started messing up more/worse if I tried keeping up the pace after missing one. So I went for consistency and let the bonus go if needed. That way I kept scoring more and catching up was not too hard eventually.
But yeah, got to recognize a lost attempt as soon as possible 😉
