Depends on your team's cohesion too, along with their responses.
If you play with people you know have slow responses, it is good to have them on mic. If you know your teammates like to wonder, use heightened senses, and maybe try to get them to as well.

So I've got my hands on a ReShade filter that adds screen-space ray-tracing to any game, I tried it out on Deep Rock, here are the results:

Unfortunately since most of this game takes place in dark caves, these are really the best examples. As cool as the feature is, it also makes the game dip in FPS quite a bit, so atm it's definitely not a feature worth implementing into the game unless it has some serious optimzation

not neccessarily the biggest cave. the game uses a set amount of rooms that it reuses. that specific cave in a sandblasted map whould be the biggest cave in theory, since sandblasted blows up the area generation (blows up = makes it bigger)
