If you haven't figured it out yet, you can find the save file location in the pinned messages in this channel. Look for the instructions for transferring your save between Steam and Microsoft

Make sure everyone has their system clock set correctly. Go into Windows Settings, click on Time & Language, and make sure that "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both turned on

EOTM has mostly been Steam folks, I believe, since the EOTM only shows up in-game on the Steam version (via the Steam version's Discord integration, I believe). That said, I actually was EOTM last December!

The instructions are for moving the save, but they tell you where the save files can be found for both the Microsoft and Steam versions. You were looking for the Microsoft save file, correct?

Be aware, cloud saves might not be available to restore currently. I tested last week, and it seemed that the most recent update my have broken something with finding the cloud saves. They still exist, but the game can't find them. It's probably a good idea to make a backup of your save file before deleting it, just in case

I actually just did the tutorial, but once I tried relaunching the game it kept crashing on the loading screen. A dev told me that's probably linked to my save, which has to be deleted, so I don't mind losing that little progression 😁

You could also try logging out of your Xbox account and logging in again. That has helped a few people who were crashing at the initial loading screen when they launched the game

Well, more specifically it reduces both GPU and CPU usage which I can only assume is because moving the mouse in-game is causing system interrupts

I can't say I've seen too many reports of similar, but it does sound like something related to the PC itself. DRG is a bit more CPU dependent than a lot of games tend to be, so apps and processes running in the background can definitely cause issues

Not sure what RTSS is, exactly. An app for monitoring performance? Game Bar doesn't provide the most accurate numbers since it seems to display an average as opposed to instantaneous value (another game's in-game fps counter showed dropping to single-digit fps for a split-second, but Game Bar told me everything was still going at 30+ fps)

Lo guys ... been playing DRG for quite some time without any issues. Since last patch however framerates are dropping from 100+ to below 20 even with only a moderate amount of action on the screen. GFX drivers and windows are up to date.
Is that a known issue?

Make sure your system time is set correctly. In Windows Settings, under Time and Language, Date and Time, make sure that both "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are turned on.

Also, both of you should exit and relaunch the game whenever you have joining issues. This will reset a desync issue. Wait until you're fully loaded into the space rig and can run around before attempting to join or invite

Well, I'm glad something works. I'd look at uninstalling and reinstalling DirectX and graphics card drivers, if you're feeling like trying to get to the bottom of the issue (and haven't done those things yet). It really seems to be something specific to that PC and DirectX 12

There's a open-source tool that should fully remove all graphics driver stuff, to really make sure the system is clean and won't be experiencing issues from old drivers. I forget the name off the top of my head, but I can dig it up if you'd like

Yep, thank you. That reminded me what to look up. Wagnardsoft's Display Driver Uninstaller. Free, open-source, seems to be one of the most recommended for cleaning up display driver installations to reduce potential issues. I've not used it myself, but, having looked into it, I would give it a go if I thought I was having an issue with graphics drivers

You may want to clean up your nvidia drivers then, if you've been installing new drivers a lot. There shouldn't be issues, but it can happen. Look up Wagnardsoft DDU, it's an free, open-source driver cleanup utility that people highly recommend for cleaning up display drivers to reduce issues

Does anybody else have extreme FPS drops during swarms?

Like my FPS stays around 45-60 but then on a haz 5 swarm it drops to around 10

Ik there is something called FPS boost but there is no option for it when I go to manage the game

That's a common bug if you or someone has been in the same lobby for a while. If you want to be able to invite people, you have to disband the team and load into a fresh lobby.

As mentioned, exiting and relaunching the game will fix the desync issue that causes you to be unable to invite/join. However, to make sure it fixes the desync completely, everyone you're trying to play with will need to do it. Wait until you're fully loaded into the space rig and can run around before attempting to invite/join.

The other thing that can cause invite/join issues is an incorrect system clock. Make sure your system time and time zone are both set to automatic

Hey all, this has probably been answered before but having trouble linking up with a friend in this game on pc through game pass. We've both completed the tutorial but nothing after that. Feels frustrating as I can't bring up an invite list when I press c or click on the plus signs. Also when we invite through Game Bar and one of us accepts nothing happens and the game doesn't load.

The game can become desynced after a random period of time, anywhere from one mission to several hours. Everyone you're trying to play with will need to exit and relaunch the game to fix the desync issue, which will allow invite/join to work again. Always wait until you're fully loaded into the space rig and can run around before attempting to invite/join.

Also, you both need to check your system clocks. In Windows Settings, Time & Language, Date & time, make sure "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both turned on

After you both check your system clocks, using the Game Bar for inviting and joining is the way to go

No problem at all. It's a weird issue, and not something anyone would guess easily, but it comes up kinda frequently.

The desync thing, though, is a regular issue, so those instructions will get you going again when it happens. Just have everyone in your group exit and restart, and you'll be good to go

The twins always get me in elimination. Sometimes I lose track of my distance to arbalest and he reminds me that he is actually the far more dangerous one up close

In that sense, being the target is nice because arbalest will be polite and stick further away

They have tons of fun playing haz 3 so I'm happy for them, but they definitely haven't gotten as solid a hold on that game as a "proper gamer" might have in the same amount of time

Second, questions: when opening the menu, why does the FPS drop and GPU usage spike to 97+%? Has it always done that and I've never noticed? I can't imagine it's intended, and it may be leading to some issues for some players and may be related to DirectX 12

Some folks have reported issues with the menus, and I tested for myself. I maintain a usable FPS, but for a few others it drops to a practically unusable FPS, both in and out of menus. It seems to be a recent issue. Not sure if the holidays event has anything to do with it

Normally I'm at a relatively stable 120fps in the space rig (as reported by the in-game display), with 60 - 80% GPU usage (as reported by Game Bar) as I run around. If I open a menu, I drop to ~80fps with 97+% GPU usage

Anyway, good morning to you! I'll check this again after the patch and see if things are still behaving this way

Okay, patch is available. I just checked and in the menu the FPS still drops and the GPU usage still goes to almost 100%, but it's a less severe FPS drop to about 110fps instead of in the 80s

But good news, the patch is out!

I also have to say adding inputs to joysticks is probably the worst for controller I always try to change control when a game has important inputs on joystick press because it causes stick drift. I ve used the same controller for 5 years until I started playing DRG I ve had to buy 4 new ones because of Dash spamming every 25seconds and there's nothing else comfortable to map sprint on than joysticks

Also, if he ever turns his Xbox off without completely quitting the game, the instant on can cause all sorts of multiplayer issues with freezing and resuming the game. I recommend also force quitting out of the game on xbox if you regularly play with friends.

I've heard from a friend that the Dash Perk and accelerating on the downslope of a Gunner's zipline are both not working since the update. I have not tried to verify that myself yet. Those were the only two things they noticed when playing earlier

Other folks did bring that up earlier today, shortly after the update was released. The devs saw the comments, took note and replied. They're going to address it (probably by adding the option to turn it off), but they could not say how soon it will be taken care of

The patch notes in the #patch-notes-steam channel are pretty much it. The update we got today was essentially Steam's patches 6 and 7, which Steam got a about a week ago

Steam gets updates and patches first, because it's fast and easy to fix something if it goes wrong. Once Steam looks good, then they get our patch(es) all done and can submit it to Microsoft for certification

Steam doesn't have the certification process Micrsoft requires, so it's far quicker to work on Steam and it allows the devs farm more flexibility

Check your Windows File Folder settings. In the View tab of the settings, make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is deselected. This will let you easily see and edit the file extension of the Steam save file. Save files must exactly match the name and extension of the file you're replacing
