Randos are fine for single missions IMO, but haz 5+ is dicey without mics

A 980 is still very capable, but paying almost the same price for a used card from three generations ago as a current gen card that has way more features just doesn't feel good no matter which way you look at it. People do what they have to with things the way they are for the foreseeable future, but it doesn't feel good

So we're on the Hotfix 2 version, but we should be getting a patch tomorrow or Saturday that will bring us up to Hotfix 3. The patch should also fix some things like the Supporter Pack DLC not showing up for folks who own it, and the Xbox cloud save files not being available

Make sure you're naming the file exactly right, including the file extension. (Or in the case of the Windows version, the lack of a file extension.) The file type should be "File" and if you see file type as "SAV File" then you have not properly renamed the save. It will help to turn off "Hide extensions for known file types" in the File Explorer Options if you haven't already

I got the bug were I couldn't use X but it was on Salvage not an Escort, failed because I couldn't refill and revive is it also linked to saluting like the escort bug?

(on console) the update seems to have removed the ability to place, build, and repair pipes while standing on a pipe

if the pipe is placed through a hole in the wall for example, you have to now notch a section near it to build or repair it at the junction

not to mention when the pipe is in the air a bit

i am also sad that the rival mode only appears once on the map each 30 min

i am really enjoying that mode, but since it occurs far less often I havent gotten to play it much if I want to work on the daily things

I did a search and it looks like it may be related to having Variable Refresh Rate enabled on the console. Turning off Variable Refresh Rate on the console might fix it, at least until you get a remote and can mess with TV settings too

Does anyone feel like certain inputs like resupplying or revive are being a little wonky since the update. Like not registering right?

I also feel like some things like clamoring on pancakes are a little off at times. I feel like there were some easy jumps that just weren't pulling me up and I wasn't even really stretching the height.

My squad was playing the update and the game play felt just about little funky (I was the host and noticed). Could just be bad luck but curious if anyone else felt the same.

Ah, not sure. It was a quick search for the auto-switching issue. It seems having Variable Refresh Rate and possibly Low-Latency Mode turned on might cause what you're experiencing. All I can say is I'd turn those settings off (if they are available) and see if it helps

Yes, it's a setting on the TV, but, since the console is causing it to switch, it stands to reason that there might be some way to make the console not cause it to switch

And I did see people complaining about exactly what you're experiencing, and two people mentioned these Xbox settings

Microsoft added the ability for an Xbox to cause the switch in compatible TVs. I would hope that Microsoft also gave users a way to turn off that console feature in case it caused issues

I did it solo for my first time on haz 4

I kept up a little with the updates and I thought I knew most of what sabotage was about but NO

I thought there was only one type of turret

Well there are 3

I also thought there was only one thing to hack and didn’t know half of what the boss fight was about

And the end scene for defeating it?

If you're on different versions, even just different patches, it will not connect for multiplayer

I have two friends playing on xbox and I'm on ms windows. They can't find me on the server list and i can't find them, but they can invite each other. When i join them through invite, it says "Multiplayer session ended" like right away. When they try to join me, they load into an empty spacerig. They both had their NAT type set to open and saw no errors.

Make sure everyone has updated the game. An update came out a few hours ago. Reboot systems if the update doesn't show up when looking for it. Everyone should see version number 1.35.63815.0 in the bottom left corner of the pause screen if they've updated

I would test another game or two. My first suspicion would be an operating system or hardware issue, but if it only happens with Deep Rock, I'd uninstall, reboot, reinstall, and test again

Blue screens do not only happen from overheating. Any number of hardware or software issues can cause a blue screen. If you have not yet, you can set the PC to stay on a blue screen without automatically restarting so you can more easily catch the error message

Although I can't recall if Windows 10 will give you a useful blue screen or not now that I think about it...

When the Drak goes above 50% heat you can manually force it into overheat, which will cool faster than if you were to regularly overheat

The Microsoft Store app doesn't always find an update the first time I try it, but if I wait a moment and click "Find updates" a second time it will often get it. If I know for sure an update should be available and it doesn't come up, I reboot my PC and try again, and that usually works

When that happens, exit the game and relaunch it. Rebooting your system will help as well, though it's not always necessary.

However, do make sure you and your friends have the latest patch, as you will experience issues joining and inviting if you all do not. You should see version number 1.35.63815.0 in the bottom left corner of the pause screen

I met the biggest leaf lover of a gunner just now

Always double dipped in the resupply

Even if he didnt need it and other teammates desperately needed the ammo

And refused to use that ammo well (I saw him shooting at the caretaker's armor one time during the whole fight and never once shot the eye as far as I'm aware)

And because of a large overestimation in how much ammo we needed for a hacking beacon (they called in 3 resupplys for it) we were VERY tight on nitra

Basically all I had to fight the caretaker with was a toothpick and some lint

I think it depends, but with the benefit of having the shield, Gunner can be a solid choice for solo. Every class has their pros and cons for solo missions. It's all about finding what's most familiar then you can handle just about any mission type solo. Just my two cents 😊

Save files are able to be copied between versions. The Steam version gets updates earlier, but definitely deals with more bugs when an update initially comes out because of that. It's a trade off, and everyone is going to have a different feeling about it

I've never really payed attention to the meta so I don't know what's "best," but I like the M1000 with the Electrocuting Focus Shots overclock and focus shots stun mod.
I only really focus shot big stuff, everything else is pretty much hip fire.
Play to your advantage: use the grappling hook to put distance between you and the enemies, hip fire small things and focus shot stun big things to make it easier for you and your crew to finish 'em off. I run with the Boomstick with blowthrough for when groups manage to get up close and personal

Regarding "meta" builds, hipster M1000, ai stability engine automatic rifle, and bullets of mercy automatic rifle are all quite popular

Personally I tend to swap between BoM and compact ammo on the automatic one, depending on the situation

My biggest scout gameplay tip is to learn when you are and aren't needed to be killing bugs. If your team can comfortably handle the bugs currently on screen, you can go get mining or other objectives done while they mop up

It's very good advice! Keep the lights up and keep moving. Find a build that works for you for self-defense and support, but remember that the scout is definitely tuned to have less firepower overall

M1000 with Hipster is my go too, I’ve tried branching out to other ocs but in terms of feel. I enjoy the hipster oc. It’s fast, and if built right you can hit grunt breakpoints and do a lot of overall damage. It’s good for being a focus build as well (not the best) but you can still focus shot if you so please. I’d also recommend pairing the m1k with a secondary you seem trustworthy to fill any shortcomings you may have while using it. For me: I use cryo minelets on the smgs. Good limited cc for trash mobs (even praes) and I save ammo on m1k

Imo scouts job is to always be mining the stuff in hard to reach places and 2ndary objectives, and absolutely spam that flare gun!! It's so important to keep the caves lit at all times, and when in a fight, you're job is to focus the spitters and Wardens. All the support stuff. Focusing big single targets is good too when you get comfortable with it, can't beat grappling behind an Opressor, charge pickaxing and unloading the shottie into the rear. Setting any Tox clouds on fire with the phosphorus shells is really handy too. Personally I run the active mobility stabilizer on the m1000 and hip fire the mouth/unarmored parts of grunts when you need to fight em, but generally just pickaxe away and keep pushing the objectives etc. And don't neglect the IFG's at choke points, that can be absolutely POG

Oh and scouts biggest asset, securing the bag when everything falls apart on extract! Being able to secure 1 Dorf on the drop pod is nice

Ooh! Okay last thing 😅 for perks - consider Dash and Medic. Dash can be used mid air, and can sometimes be used to negate fall damage to a degree, dashing into a wall for example will take a lot of the sting off a fall, all the better if you can power pickaxe as you hit the wall and make yourself a lil foothold.

Hey I'm new to the discord, but I'm having trouble syncing the cloud to my console. For this game specifically. I've been playing on windows via the Xbox app, but every time I load it up, it freezes up and won't load. I tried getting on through the xbox but it told me that I'd have to either wait for the cloud to finish syncing on Windows, or load up the latest save. It doesn't specify how recent the save is. Also, before I understood what the issue was I un-installed Deeprock to try and fix it, so I don't even know if the cloud is syncing anymore. So I might lose many many hours of progress, and there's no visual indicator as to when the cloud is finished syncing. Send help

I can't say I've seen other people mention this before or that I know what's going on and how to remedy it, but you might be able to use the "Restore Save" feature.

You can find the "Restore Save" feature in the "Options" screen, under "Save Menu." When you click "Restore Save," it should give you a couple of cloud save files (with some info like date modified, player level, and credits) to choose from. That will hopefully help you know if the synced saves are up to date, or at least how far out of date they are (hopefully not bad if at all! 🤞 )

Right, that sounds like it's working (at least up to that point), you just haven't followed through past that point because you're understandably worried about your save data. And that's fine. We'll consider Xbox working as intended, for the moment, unlike Windows

Try logging out of your account on PC. Go into the Xbox app, and sign out from the account button in the top right of the app

After logging out, try launching DRG on PC and let me know what happens

I'm on Windows 10 and I've been having it. Game Bar needs me to sign in and sometimes has an error when I do. Clicking "Try again" eventually works for some reason. It's only been today and yesterday that this has been happening for me

I checked for updates earlier as well, and nothing has been updated. Not sure what's going on exactly

also what makes me mad is when microsoft store has game updates it doesnt auto update like i have set it to, it just has on screen i have updates no auto updates at all, xbox has it why cant microsoft make it work correctly on windows 10/11

Microsoft Store does eventually auto-update, but I'm not sure how long it takes before it happens. I know it does though, because I'll go to check for an update that I know came out days ago, and it says I already got it a few days ago

It might just take a day or two after the update actually comes out, unless you manually check

i updated my xbox profile to say please send me an RTX 3080 my way lol and i got a message saying will a rtx 3070 do lol

im wanting my last video card of only a 3080 so my GPU will not be bottlenecked by my CPU

anything after either 3080 or 3090 is not necessary

nvidia needs to do what AMD did with its CPU stock and make it bot proof of CAPTCHA, thats how i got my AMD 5900x CPU

and yes i know most CAPTCHAs can be solved by AI but at least it would slow down the process by a little bit
