Also voice chat is broken on windows and Xbox when people join and leave the game. So most people use Xbox party chat

I tell people voice chat in game is broken so when I’m talking and someone joins in it breaks and then I have to send invite for party chat.

I recommend party chat until they get it fixed

Oh and i finally managed to join a DD and my xbox launched a different game as it loaded. lol, maybe the series x will be less shit. party chats are a good way around it, but people dont always want to immediately join them.

@spiral wave When you join a DD, the screen will always fade to black, at least for me anyway. It could be that they people you are trying to join have already started it, and the sever list hasn't refreshed yet.

Unfortunately, the MS store version of DRG is a lot less stable than Steam. If I had a PC, I would have never even considered buying Deep Rock Galactic from MS store.

While it's good they're getting fixed on MS store, I think that having a better functioning game is better than having Dx12 over Dx11. In my eyes, it doesn't make that enough of a difference.

I think that it does not have an in-game setting for vibration at this time. You'd have to change it at the system level. And yes, the vibration is a bit much at the moment

However, the Scout class does have a flare gun as a tool, and the flare gun has way more flares and the flares are much brighter and last a lot longer, and stick to the surface they're shot into. The flare gun flares do not recharge over time, and behave like ammo would for the weapons

@polar pebble Not that it in any way does anything for the vibration issue, but I believe there is an FPS counter on the Xbox version because it shares a code base with the Windows Store version, and FPS counters are quite common in PC games. So it wasn't so much as they took time to "add it to Xbox" instead of adding other things, and more that it's just there because it was already done for PC

Furthermore, the Xbox and Windows Store version recently received a major overhaul which wound up changing a lot of little things. The vibration is one of those things. Prior to the overhaul the vibration was much less intense than it is now. I'm believe it will be addressed at some point

@gritty fossil There are a few things in the pinned messages that might be relevant.

Also, I have noticed that sometimes when one player has been playing or even just in the game in the space rig for a little while, it can sometimes cause an issue where a friend won't be able to join.

When that happens, if everyone who is trying to play together exits the game completely, and then relaunches the game, that usually works. If that doesn't, have everyone reboot PCs and Xboxes and try again

Also, yes, what TheAngryReaper said. DRG is only crossplay with the Windows Store and Xbox versions. Steam does not have crossplay

Also, there has been a significant increase in number players recently with the game becoming available on GamePass, and that has caused a bit of trouble with joining games and using the server browser. Do try the pinned messages and rebooting though. Very rarely I need to reboot my PC to join or invite friends

TheAngryReaper, I don't think I've tried the in-game invite system since I started using the Game Bar. The Game Bar does seem to work most of the time (but then there's the rare times I have to reboot because it does nothing...)

You're right, that could be causing some confusion if it doesn't actually work right. I know the menu pops up when you press the button to invite friends, but I don't think I've tried to use it. And the only reason I know the menu pops up is because I've hit the button (the C key, I believe) accidentally.

I suspect the delay in being able to invite or join has something to do with the presence feature, where the game should be figuring out where you are in the and reporting that as your account status. As soon as that status goes to "in space rig," invites and joining seems to work

In the Mission Select screen, select an available region of the map, then select a mission, then select either "Join" to join, or "Host: Public" to host a public game mission that anyone can join

Do make sure that everyone has rebooted PCs and Xboxes, because that has almost always worked for me and my friends.

The only other thing I can think of is there were some reports a few days ago of trouble joining friends or even joining random games at all, and it seemed to be due to the large increase of players from Game Pass. It's possible something like that is happening again, and if that's the case I'd check in here to see if anyone has any more info and try again another time

You should just be able to invite or join through the Xbox game bar or Xbox app if on PC. Might be able to join a random game that you both see access to, might have to complete the tutorial, sometimes multiplayer just doesn't work for a night (with the old build), sometimes it is firewall stuff, sometimes it is teredo did not qualify, etc.

Is there a known issue with certain achievements on the Xbox/Windows Store version?
No matter how many missions I complete, I cannot unlock any achievements like "complete your first mission" or "complete 100 missions".
There are others that are also not unlocking, like 1,000 weak point hits, etc.

my favourite experience of "3 newer players" came yesterday. i joined the mission, everything was fine. all of a sudden, someone has jumped down a 90000m deep hole and died. so of course, someone else immediately jumps down after him. 2/4 dead at the bottom of this pit. horde spawns. somehow the 3rd person ends up at the bottom of the hole dead (this is in the space of 2-3 minutes btw) and then as i finally get through the horde and go to revive them, the host DCs and kills the game. we were almost finished.

to clarify, there was literally no reason to go into this pit. no loot, no objectives... just... no brain cells i guess

oh and shoutout to all the people who watch u get killed by a leech and then slowly make their way over to u, attempt to revive u and then get themselves killed by the leech lmao 😂

I keep playing haz 4 missions on public and player level 3 greenbeards join and they just get shredded. I dont think a lot of newbies have an understanding of the hazard system so they just join based off of their assignments. Its hilarious seeing them freak out about the size of the waves.

Hi, if there is any dev here that can help that would be great.

I have the game on steam, but i have several friends on game pass, so i did what any sane person will do and transfer my 100+ hours save file to the windows version to keep playing, the thing is i care about the achievements, and there is several that i had that for some reason didn't unlock when i transfer the save. Is there any way i can recheck the achievements??

I don't mind too much about the ones like "ride x for x seconds", but there are some that i can not re do like "Complete 100 misions" (i have 196 in-game)

That assignment achievement doesn't care about what assignment you complete though, you should get it as long as you complete a assignment.

I don't believe any significant work has been or is being done for Steam crossplay. All that's been said officially is that it would be nice and they may look into it at some point, but since there is no turn-key solution that simplifies the process it'll be a significant amount of work and they will get to it if and when they are able. Basically, at this time there are no official plans to do Steam crossplay

yeah it's "nice to have". Part of me wishes it had never come to MS store as it usually causes the issue where most use Steam and minority uses MS(from ex. Game pass) and the anger when they find out that they actually can't play with their friends

Only reason I bought the game 2+ years ago was because it is on Microsoft Store and could crossplay with Xbox. Most games aren't crossplay with console(s) in any way, and DRG actually lets me play with friends. It's a bummer that Steam isn't included in that, but DRG already has more crossplay than most games. And with the recent inclusion in game pass, there's more folks on these versions than ever before

Unions, in part, have a tie in with Discord, and since Discord isn't available on consoles they wouldn't work the same way. Not to say something like it will never happen, but there are no official plans announced regard Unions outside of Steam

@regal breach - I have been advised by microsoft to reach out to the development team with the following information : the launcher file for the the pc version from the microsoft store is corrupt as of its most recent update and will not launch. it took nearly 8 hours of direct remote assistance for the microsoft team to determine the issue was with the file itself. this is their determination. why i was selected to be the messenger is beyond me.

There were some troubles that many folks were experiencing prior to Windows Store/Xbox version 31.5, but many of those issues were resolved by moving away from UWP

I can't say I'm too familiar with racing games. If you have Game Pass, I believe the latest Forza Horizon is on Game Pass and it seems decent. Also, if you have Game Pass, you don't need to purchase DRG as it recently because available on Game Pass

Is gamepass really worth it? Like how many ACCUTAL good games are there on game pass?

Pretty much every First-Party Microsoft game is on there and and will be on there when they come out. And there's a good number of really decent indie games

I believe most Microsoft-owned games will stay on Game Pass for a very long time if not forever. Games from other devs and publishers do rotate in and out though. And yes, EA Play has just come to Game Pass on console, and will be on Game Pass for PC in a few weeks
