Right here. Steeve takes 2% friendly fire damage and isn’t affected by Sticky Flames from the Driller's CRSPR Flamethrower. He is still vulnerable to weakspot damage bonuses and armor breaking from the Dwarves.

Okay, so you definitely need to be loaded all the way into the space rig before accepting an invite
If I try to accept an invite without being in the space rig, it tries to load, and then crashes to desktop every time
I don't know if that'll help at all, but if I'm not in the rig it definitely doesn't work (even though it should)

Yeah. That's what everyone gets. I get it too, but then everyone I'm playing with exits/closes the game all the way, and restarts within a few minutes of each other, and then loads all the way in. Then Xbox player sends invites and it works pretty much every time. I wish I knew why so I could give folks more things to try

i cant connect to servers friends esc, this has been going on for months now. i have tried reinstalling the game witch has led me to loosing my account progress and am now trying to relevel my character but i cant seem to join other people or invite others to my game

Joining a friend without an invite doesn't work for me. I have to join from an invite. That said, even that fails fairly often unless everyone trying to play together exits the game completely and restarts the game. Sometimes PCs and Xboxs have to be rebooted as well. Then everyone needs to start the game and load all the way into the space rig within a few minutes of each other, and then the host invites everyone. If we do that, it works 95% of the time, and when it doesn't, we all exit out and try again. Once we're in (as long as the game doesn't crash to desktop which does still happen) it usually just works until we're done for the day
I'm really hoping this stuff gets better at or very shortly after 1.0 launches, because I know it's put people off, and that's just the people I've seen come here to try to figure out what's going on
I don't really do matchmaking, so I can't comment on how well that works

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I have the game on steam and had manage to play for 10hs more or less. I'm more of an Xbox player but when I played the trial there it didn't have much people when I pressed to list the servers.
Is the game doable on Xbox, I mean in terms of community, matchmaking and controller difficulty for higher difficulties?

People are definitely doing it, and we've had a bunch of the dwarves here do Elite Deep Dives, which I find very impressive.

There are to be frank a fair share of glitches regarding trying to joing multiplayer but it's not too bad. As for controller difficulty honestly I've never felt the kit on mouse and keyboard but it feels tight, and after a little familiarization, instinctive with a controler. I've logged in 12 days 16hours of casual gameplay, all of it from xbox. There were issues with the multiplayer servers sometimes not working for people during the trial but it seems to have been fixed. Sometimes the servers aren't terribly active but you can usually find a handful of games at any given time.

If you're used to playing with a controller, you should be fine on that front. Biggest problem I have playing on xbox is the performance. All kinds of things can freeze the game for a couple seconds at a time
Usually it's ok, but a player joining or even an engineer firing one too many shots from their breach cutter at the wrong time can get you killed

Oh! Make sure your batteries arent likely to die any time soon before you go into a cave. If your batteries die the controller signing back in tells it a sign in change has occured and boots you back into the main menu.

A guy I was playing with got booted to the menu when his controller disconnected, but oddly enough it hasn't happened to me

Speaking of game crashing issues though, back when I did my first promotion there was a screen with 3 boxes to "claim." Game crashed there so I never got to actually claim them. Was it anything important?

Using it wired will prevent it so long as it doesnt get disconected. As for that I do not know, I've never seen that before.

It's actually really cool to have a smaller community, you get to know the higher level folks by name. Nibbles, Le Defenseur, Archon9090, to name a few off the top of my head

Well my concern is more about difficulty and performance. I have an One X and I've seen dips on the 2 hour trial and things didn't get chaotic like I've seen on PC in some games I did.
Also, I'm worried I can be overwhelmed by enemies and cant react fast like on PC. The game is more balanced toward controller on console or it's the same?
And I hope when it full releases that more people join.

@loud condor As long as you have the Windows store version, you should be able to play with your friend
Some folks report issues getting into games with friends, and sometimes it doesn't work the first time I try as well, but I have a workaround that is reliable if you have trouble
The important thing to do is have all players be fully loaded into the space rig, and then have the host send invites. Everyone then accepts the invites. If it doesn't just work, everyone exit the game completely and then restart the game within a few minutes of each other, load fully back in to the space rig, and resend/accept invites

Having done a LAN party with 2 xboxes and a laptop with windows version I can say that it's a bit of a pain in the ass to effectively co-ordinate it, but once you get rolling it's fairly straightforward. Just don't end the connection (do consecutive rounds with each other) and you're past the worst of it ;)@loud condor
Also, in my experience, it's easier/better to have the windows version as host. Don't know why, just works better

There's an issue with the Unreal Engine UWP plugin being unsupported for the newer version of Unreal Engine the game runs on. It causing the Windows Store version to have more issues than the Steam version

Hello I'm new here. I'm playing on PC (Windows Store version) and trying to play with a friend on Xbox. I can't join him and Quick Join or Server List doesn't work either, every time I get a 'Network error, Matchmaking failed'. I've uninstalled and installed the game, restarted computer and router, nothing seems to fix this error. Is there any solution for this?

@sharp jackal Have both you and your friend exit the game completely, and if he restarts his Xbox that can help. Once you're both fully out of the game, launch the game within a few minutes of each other. Then, one of you needs to invite the other. You should only try to join from invite. If it doesn't work, everyone exit the game completely and try again. This works 95% of the time for me and my friend

It didn't solve the issue. I think it might be more on my side there is always the error 'The multiplayer session has ended' whether it's me joining him or the opposite and he can join any session.
I don't know if it will help someone solving my issue but I get the 'Network error, Matchmaking failed' on Quick Join when its 'connecting_remote_devices'

is the xbox/windows 10 crossplay not working? My friend and I (he's on xbox I'm on windows 10) were trying the 4 hour trial and couldn't get it to work for co-op. I tried turning off my firewalls and restarting, joining a party first, inviting him, he inviting me, etc nothing seemed to work

I've seen a significant number of complaints matching yours, specifically with regards to the trial. Usually, with the full game, having all players exit the game completely, and possibly restarting PCs and Xboxes, fixes it as long as all players launch the game within a few minutes of each other, and only try to join by invite once everyone has fully loaded into the space rig and can move around
Sometimes repeating the exit and relaunch is necessary, but usually it works the first time. Once you're in together, things are generally okay
