And it does work, I do it frequently and have had a lot of people pull it off with that.
The whole process is getting access to the Windows Store save file, copying it and changing the file type and name to the Steam save.
The tutorial is about getting access to the Windows Store file and putting the Steam save file there with the right format.

Id like to see more single use items to purchase with minerals/gold. As it stands, we have a finite number of things those resources can be spent on. After awhile, you tend to stack the resources ever higher waiting for something to spend them on. My friend started playing and said "ohh boy, I need that brown stuff!" I had a chuckle as I was sitting on thousands of "that brown stuff" and remembered back in the day when I desperately needed Ernor Pearls
Now I just kinda wait till the next rollover so I can spend them on overlocks and such
I'm notsaying make thing more expensive, just give us that urge to go out of our way to get those hard to reach minerals or even just stop in general to collect some of them. I've found myself just passing them by half the time as I don't need 7 of something heaped onto my hoard of gems

The issue is fixed now after a Xbox Update I've just done but since yesterday after the update on Xbox I loaded in and it was acting if my game was offline so no invite friends or empty spaces top left hand corner if I pressed start I couldn't select any of the buttons and private game and late join options where missing, i could access all the workstations but couldn't select anything, and could access the world map but couldn't select any areas to select missions could put my cursor over them to highlight but hitting A did nothing could access server list and see lots of people on but couldn't join them, also couldn't join my wife's game invites as it said the online session was no longer available, I've got it all on my stream even reinstalling the game didn't fix it. But it's a fine now after a Xbox Update

@tribal thistle If you're on the Windows Store version and are having trouble connecting, type "Xbox Live Settings" into Cortana and click the thing that comes up. Under "Xbox Networking," click the "Fix it" button. That could help with connection issues. Additionally, UWP, the type of program Windows Store apps are delivered as, is horrible at maintaining connection (especially when tabbing out), so playing in Windowed Mode helps a lot.

No, just getting "multiplayer session has ended" when trying to connect to Xbox lobbies.
For example my friend will host a just started public lobby and I try to connect and it just says that.
Doesn't let either of us join each other unless we both restart the game. People on Xbox get black screens and freeze when joining Windows Store lobbies. Windows Store version crashes to desktop if you accept a game invite before launching or loading into the space rig.
Not playing in Windowed Mode makes you lose connection if you tab out, hit the Windows home button, etc. (happens even with Windowed Mode)
I know that is a UWP issue, so not much can be done about that.
Out of all of them I would say that the session has ended thing has been the most bothersome issue.
I have been experiencing that ever since I bought the Windows Store version over a year ago and have had it happen with a multitude of lobbies.

The only thing I can offer is for both of you to close and then restart the game at the same time. You might also want to restart your Xbox first, but then both of you need to start the game within a few minutes of each other. I haven't had much trouble myself -- I know others have had a lot -- but whenever I can't connect to my Xbox friend, we just both restart and it's worked every time so far

Rumors (and let's be clear, right now that's all they are) is that the next gen RTX is going to be announced by the summer, maybe even as early as next month, and that performance could be twice what the RTX line can do right now

Understandable. That could be down to a lot of things, of course, but more power generally helps. I'd recommend if your playing at 4k, try 1440p if possible. Also, if you lock framerate in the game to something around your typical lows then it won't bounce up and down
And if your TV has adaptive refresh rate technology, some of the newest ones do, that can make the inconsistent framerate more bearable

Yeah, mine too, unfortunately. It makes a pretty big different to a lot of people. I've heard reliable people say multiple times that variable refresh rate and HDR are bigger deals for making games look and feel good than 4k resolution

That might have something to do with your TV as well. It might not be compatible with HDR or only specific kind of HDR
But when it works, people say it makes more difference in quality than changing from 1080p to 4k

You can look it up, I've found some stuff on the issue. It seems like it might be an issue with the Windows 10 implementation of HDR. Seems like there might be things to try, but I'm not sure

funny thing is my brother cant get HDR to work on his 6,000 dollar setup but that might be because he doesnt have a 8k HDMI cable since he can handle 8k with HDR

That ghosting is likely not the monitor going bad, but just a slow response time. It wont be as noticeable when watching movies or tv at their lower framerates, but it will be more noticeable in games

Game mode on the TV should help. I would leave it on when gaming. I don't think game mode on Windows makes too big a difference most of the time, but it shouldn't hurt anything either

TVs tend to have a slower response time for quick, dramatic color/light intensity changes than gaming monitors, so it might just be that. You notice a trail because the pixels literally can't change as fast as the image does

i wasnt there, but nothing can be thoroughly tested when your only 1 person ( i was on leave) supporting a whole game with several releases and lots of other stuff going on. Also, it is tricky and time confusing testing platform specific stuff, it might work for you, but there might be other scenarios that doesnt work, that you cannot test, or know about

Here’s a bug to fix. When freezing the brood nexus it keeps the frozen texture when it’s not frozen
Only happens on windows 10 build Xbox players say they see it normal
Also when dreadnoughts die u can still laser point on them their carcass hasn’t fully decomposed and you can still select it to attack and jump and bounce off of it
That bug is on both windows and Xbox
